James is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute as well as the Investment Association. He is regularly involved in research projects and has held a number of investment lectures and seminars on numerous topics. The most recent being:

He takes considerable pride in developing and maintaining long and sustainable relationships with his clients. His primary aim is simply to ensure that through his structured advice, clients are able to achieve their ultimate goal of financial security. Jamesís gregarious nature and excellent inter-personal skills are carried into his meetings, where he very occasionally quips that St. James's Place was actually named after him.
James has developed an extensive base of clients throughout the City of London and the South of England, having worked for another nationwide network of advisers. He takes particular pride in advising lawyers and accountants as well as bankers, business owners and corporate clients.
Outside of his professional life James has a number of sporting hobbies. He is a keen rugby player and spectator, a regular cyclist and an occasional skier.
